The carved face throughout the amethyst makes this ring quite unique from other amethyst rings...to me, it resembles an Egyptian figure but your interpretation may differ. Its not new, I bought it in 2001 from a reputable jewelry store mainly for its uniqueness & wore it mostly for special occasions. I've never had it appraised so I have no idea the size or weight of the stones or if the amethyst is genuine or lab-created but the diamonds do test positive with a gemstone tester & its stamped 10K with the letters VART. Its a size 7 and, although I think it can be sized, I can't say for sure as it may differ from jeweler to jeweler.
