Purchased in the early 1970's and now just over 40 years old, this set is in excellent condition, showing no wear to most of the pieces and only slightly, to a few. I didn't see any chips, cracks or repairs and the gold trim is immaculate on most. Some of the pieces have crazing and there is a black mark, on the platter, that doesn't wipe off. I think it may be a rub from improper packing or storage, but you can't feel it when you run your finger over it. The pieces are exceptionally clean, on the bottom, and, all, except the cups, are marked with a Crown, 1792, Ridgway Ironstone, England, Registered Trade Mark 78990, Jewel Rose. The cups are marked Made in England...the entire set was purchased, all together, from a jewelery store in 1974. At that time, 16 coordinating drinking glasses with an etched rose & gold trim were also purchased (8 each in two sizes)...although not an actual part of the set, they compliment the table setting beautifully. So, if interested, the glasses are available also. I've attached a couple of pictures, so you can see how they go with the set. Dinnerware set includes 8 each...
